Call of Duty Warzone: Best Pacific Season 2 Meta Weapons and Loadouts

Games

Activision Blizzard is currently under investigation following accusations of harassment, discrimination, and fostering a hostile work environment. You can read more about the investigation here.

Call of Duty: Warzone‘s Pacific Season 2 update isn’t just one of the biggest updates in the history of the free-to-play battle royale; it’s an update that is guaranteed to shake up the game’s competitive meta and almost certainly change which guns you’re going to rely on.

While there are a few good reasons to believe that some of the recent best guns in Warzone will remain dominant in the new meta (more on that in a bit), the new update seems to have done a great job of shaking up the meta in such a way that will at least make it worth your time to explore some of the game’s new guns and even a few guns that will feel new thanks to nerfs and buffs.

So while I’m very curious to see what Warzone pros manage to do with some of those guns that could come out of nowhere to dominate the battle royale, these appear to be the best guns in the game at the moment.

Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 2: Best Guns

Cooper Carbine

I know that some recent nerfs that directly and indirectly affected the Cooper Carbine have some Warzone fans worried, but I think the nerfs are minor enough to at least ensure that the Cooper Carbine remains one of your best overall AR options in the game.

Even if this gun isn’t quite as accurate as it was before, I think its high rate of fire, decent damage, and consistency is going to make it hard to put down if you’re one of the many players who feel incredibly comfortable using it.

Kilo 141

You don’t always need your assault rifle to be at its best at longer ranges, but for those times when you do, you’re probably going to want to turn to the Kilo 141 assault rifle.

I definitely think this is going to become a very popular assault rifle in the early days of the Pacific Season 2 meta. It’s incredibly easy to hang back with this gun and start slowly chipping away at squads or any poor solo souls, and it honestly performs pretty well in close-range scenarios.

Whitley

While I doubt that the Bruen will disappear from the meta entirely as some are predicting it might, I do think that the Whitley is going to distinguish itself enough to quickly become a favorite among LMG users.

The Whitley is just a powerhouse. It’s designed to mow through enemies with very little trouble and make up for its slow and sometimes wild nature in close-range scenarios where it’s more or less unstoppable. Give this a shot if you’re looking for a new LMG to love.

STG 44

I’m not entirely sure if I’m ready to call the STG 44 the best gun in Warzone, but it certainly speaks to this AR’s capabilities that it is very much in that conversation.

The thing that sets the STG 44 apart is how good it is at close and medium ranges. It’s incredibly easy to rely on this gun when you’re moving into a hot zone and whenever you suddenly find yourself in a close-range conflict and don’t have time to swap to an SMG. It just works so well in so many situations.

Bullfrog

Some players are sleeping on the Bullfrog as they look towards new and shiner options but one of the best SMGs across recent updates should be as great as it ever was in the new update.

The Bullfrog shines in close-range scenarios where you’d expect the average SMG to prove its worth, but it’s this gun’s medium-range potential that sets it apart from some considerable competition. The best guns in Warzone are those that you can depend on in the most common scenarios, and the Bullfrog certainly falls into that category.

MP 40

Again, I’m a little hesitant to pick the MP 40 given some of the recent nerfs to the incredibly popular SMG but everything that I’ve seen so far leads me to believe that the MP 40 will be just a little less effective rather than skippable.

The MP 40 has long been the gun that you turn to when you need an SMG that you can depend on during tense scenarios, and I believe that it’s still going to be one of the most reliable guns in the game for that purpose. In a meta that currently seems devoid of any obviously overpowered guns, the dependability of the MP 40 will likely elevate it.

Swiss K31

It’s tempting to put another assault rifle or SMG on this list simply because those weapon classes are so good, but I really think that the Swiss K31 is going to surprise a lot of players.

The Swiss K31 has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the rise of sniper rifles in the Warzone meta. It’s a reliable, somewhat traditional sniper rifle that won’t shock anyone with its stopping power but also doesn’t demand that you’re absolutely perfect with your aim in order to get the most out of it.

Kar98k

I think I’ve recommended the Kar98k since I’ve started recommending Warzone weapons, and I’m certainly not going to stop recommending it now.

The Kar98k is pretty much an untouchable weapon. It’s perfectly balanced in a way that ensures that you’re able to dominate with it so long as your timing, awareness, and aim are pretty much perfect. If you’re confident in your ability to score headshots, you will be able to dominate with this always reliable gun.

XM4

I don’t know why people keep sleeping on the XM4, but Warzone players are once again overlooking this incredible assault rifle at the start of Warzone‘s Pacific Season 2 update.

No, the XM4 doesn’t boast the best TTK in the game, but it’s not that far behind the AK-47 so far as that goes, and the XM4’s low recoil, accuracy, and more than respectable damage output means that you’ll easily be able to get the most out of this gun without having to constantly fight it.

Grau 5.56

Again, I’d love to recommend something other than an assault rifle for this last spot on the list, but the Grau 5.56 is currently just a little too good to overlook.

If you’re a fan of fully-automatic weapons that are effective (if not dominant) at pretty much any distance, then the Grau 5.56 is the gun for you. This is not a dominant gun by any means, but you can dominate with it if you learn to maximize its potential in all of the scenarios it can be useful during.
