The novel was Reese’s Book Club x Hello Sunshine’s September 2017 book pick. Witherspoon is currently working on three TV series, including Big Little Lies Season 2, and an untitled Apple series that will co-star Jennifer Aniston.

Little Fires Everywhere Story

Little Fires Everywhere is set in Shaker Heights, the upscale community just outside Cleveland, Ohio where Ng grew up, in the 1990s. When a single mother and her teenage daughter rent a home nearby, they become entangled in the lives of the wealthy Richardson family and also in a custody battle over a Chinese-American baby.

Hulu’s official description of the story reads: “Based on Celeste Ng’s 2017 bestseller, Little Fires Everywhere follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.”
