With a huge chunk of the world currently under stay-at-home orders from their local or national governments, a number of parents are slowly going insane from all the constant screaming over “Into the Unknown” playing on loop. I’m fine, by the way, thank you for asking.
Thankfully, DC Comics has offered help. DC Kids Camp is a new program from the comics publisher offering kid-friendly superhero activities and previews of DC’s middle grade graphic novels.
The program will also feature videos, draw alongs, and crafting tutorials with some of the supremely talented comics creators working on those middle grade books. The first, available on the @dccomicskids Twitter feed and @dckids on Instagram on March 25th, is an interactive demonstration on how to make your own Green Lantern ring with Counterstrike co-creator and writer of Green Lantern: Legacy, Minh Le.
Parents can also sign up for the DC Family newsletter and get DC Kids Camp material like activity sheets, coloring pages, blank comic book pages, and comic previews emailed to them on Mondays and Fridays.
